JAKARTA - The coach of the Indonesian U-17 National Team, Bima Sakti, revealed how much chance Welber Jardim had to play in the 2023 U-17 World Cup. He did not deny that the opportunity of the diaspora player was very large.

After completing the trial from Solo, the U-17 Indonesian national team continued the selection to select the composition of the players who will be brought to the training camp in Germany.

The training camp in Germany is scheduled to start in September until October. Bima said Welber may be included in the player who joined Germany.

"We will probably bring it. We will coordinate and PSSI to summon Welber to a training camp in Germany," said the 46-year-old tactician.

Before leaving for Germany, Indonesia plans to undergo a trial against the South Korean U-17 national team at the end of August. The location of this trial has not been announced.

The training camp in Germany is a series of preparations for the 2023 U-17 World Cup. Indonesia was trusted to host the event after Peru was dropped by FIFA because it was not ready to hold this age group event.

The 2023 U-17 World Cup will take place in Indonesia from 10 November to 2 December. A total of 24 countries will participate in this two-year event.

In total there are four stadiums that will be used to become match venues. The four stadiums are the Jakarta International Stadium (Jakarta), Gelora Bung Tomo (Surabaya), Manahan (Surakarta), and Di Jalak Harupat (Bandung).
