Barcelona Big Profit After Selling Franck Kessie To Al Expert, Fresh Fund Of IDR 208 Billion Enters The Club Account

JAKARTA - Barcelona officially released Franck Kessie, a Saudi Arabian club, Al Expert. He is sold for a lot of money.

Barcelona finally agreed to release Kessie to Saudi Arabia because they needed fresh funds from this deal. Quoted from an official statement on Barcelona social media, Kessie was bought with a tag of 12.5 million euros (Rp208 billion).

"FC Barcelona and Al-Ahli SC reached an agreement regarding the transfer of 12.5 million euros for Franck Kessie," Barcelona wrote on their Twitter account quoted Friday, August 11.

With Kessie joining Al Expert, it will add to the vibrant Saudi Pro League. Kessie will play alongside Roberto Firmino, Edouard Mendy, Roger Ibanez and Allan Saint Maximin.

Barcelona can be said to have made a big profit. The reason is, the Spanish La Liga club got a free Kessie from AC Milan last season.

Initially, Kessie was predicted to be the new spirit in the Blaugrana midfield. Unfortunately, Kessie actually failed to get a place in the first team.

As a result, Kessie mostly occupies the bench.

Before moving to Barcelona, Kessie himself had a vital role in Milan. The Rossoneri camp had hoped that Kessie would agree to a contract extension but Kessie chose to take on a new adventure at Barcelona.

Barcelona's decision to sell Kessie will later benefit them in terms of financial burdens Thus, this can make it easier for Barcelona to register new players they recruited in the transfer market this season.

Ilkay Gundogan is one of the players who has just come to Barcelona but has not been registered.
