The Indonesian Women's National Team Meets The Giant Wall On Their Way To The 2023 AFF U-19 Cup Final

PALEMBANG - The hope of the Indonesian Women's National Team to step into the 2023 AFF U-19 Cup final meets a big wall. Rudy Eka Priyambada's squad will meet Southeast Asian giant Thailand in the last four, Thursday, July 12.

Thailand qualified for the semifinals after winning against Myanmar with a score of 1-0 in the group C qualifying party at the Jakabaring Sport City Athletic Arena, Monday, July 10, WIB night.

For the victory and the number of goals in that match, the Thai Women's National Team moved to the last four with the title of Group C winners. As stipulated by AFF, Thailand will automatically face Indonesia, as the winner of Group A.

The head coach of the Thailand Women's National Team, Sawin Jaraspetcharanan, after the match admitted that he did not really worry about who was against his team in the semifinals.

Because according to Sawin, his team is ready both in terms of play as a team and mentality.

This was proven after they were able to face the entire Group C preliminary round match which was inhabited by the great teams of Myanmar and the Philippines with a win.

"Whoever the opponent is, we are ready to face it, I am just focused on how to make the team even better," he said, as reported by Antara.

The Indonesian coach, Rudy Eka, also conveyed the same readiness. However, he admitted that his team had to sharpen it to face the semifinal match.

"Basically we are ready, against any team, but we also have to be aware of the ball game played by Thailand. We have to play effectively, increase tactics that players must also play," said Rudy on the official PSSI website.
