Erling Haaland Hopes To Be An Inspiration For Young Norwegians Not To Stop Dreaming

JAKARTA - Manchester City striker Erling Haaland never thought he could achieve great success at a young age. At the age of 22, Haaland had already won a treble winner.

As is known, Haaland played a major role in helping City win the Champions League trophy, English Premier League and FA Cup in the 2022/2023 season.

He then reflected on his achievement as motivation for players his age to be able to achieve the same thing.

"In my wildest dream, I will never consider this as I am 22, to be honest," Haaland said. "But it shows that it is possible for a man from a small town in Norway."

"In my opinion, this also motivates other young people in the same situation as me playing football in the indoor hall in my hometown," he continued.

For all his team's achievements this season, Haaland is determined to keep it next season. "We have to defend what we have achieved this season," said Haaland.

Furthermore, Haaland's success this season has not only won several prestigious trophies with his team. Meanwhile, the 22-year-old also won individual awards such as EPL's best players (36 goals and eight assists), EPL's best young player, EPL's top scorer (36 goals), and UCL's top scorer (12 goals).

He later said that this could not be separated from the figure of the manager, Pep Guardiola. The former Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund players are very happy to be managed by the manager who according to him is the best in the world.

"Working with Pep is really special. To be trained by him every day, the best manager in the world, this is a good place," he added, as reported by Antara.

In his first season playing for The Citizens, Haaland looked fantastic with a record 52 goals from a total of 53 appearances in all competitions.

During his fertile period, the Norwegian national team player admitted that he was greatly assisted by the Spaniard.

"We have a good relationship and he helped me a lot. I look forward to continuing to develop. I am still young, I have many years left," said Haaland.
