Bagnaia suffered a small partial fracture injury due to an accident at the French MotoGP at Le Mans, some time ago.

"As Bagnaia still has pain in his right ankle after the crash last Sunday in France, he underwent further tests at Misano and was found to have a small partial talus fracture. This minor injury will not preclude his participation in the upcoming Italian GP," said Ducati in a statement. the official page.

The accident in France involved Bagnaia and Aprilia Racing racer Maverick Vinales. The two of them made contact when Vinales maneuvered against the Ducati racer, but the timing was not right.

"It was an unfortunate circumstance, a race incident that maybe we could have avoided if Maverick closed the lane a little more and I left more space to enter. But, after all, these are things that can happen," said Bagnaia after the race in French GP.
