Continue The Success Of The E-tron GT Hospital, Audi Sport Prepares 100 Percent Of The Hospital EV Staff At The End Of The Decade

JAKARTA - A German car company, Audi, has affirmed its commitment to presenting electric vehicles in the future. Despite being constrained by the development of Volkswagen Group's Scalable Systems Platform (SSP) architecture, Audi remains in the development of advanced electrification products.

In an effort to achieve this vision, Audi Sport, Audi's high-performance division, also played an active role. They are determined to provide 100 percent of the electric vehicle lineup by the end of the decade, including models that were previously only present in internal combustion engines (ICE).

Volkswagen Group CEO Oliver Blume revealed that Audi will focus more on hospital brands in the coming years, following the great success of its high-performance model, E-tron GT Hospital.

Sebastian Grams, as Audi Sport Manager, added that the E-tron GT model is an important pillar in presenting comprehensive changes.

"We also have to focus on the new, growing target group, and therefore we believe that high electrification and performance are going very well together," Grams said as quoted by Autocar, Monday, July 24.

Among the several models that will be present under the Audi Sport umbrella are A6 E-tron and Q6 E-tron. However, Audi has not explained in detail all the ranks of the model.

Meanwhile, the Head of Audi AG Designer, Marc Lichte, described the Activesphere concept recently introduced as an upgrade to A7, and is expected to be present in the production version in 2027. This concept will also be followed by the RS variant with increasingly fierce capabilities.

Lichte explained that Audi adheres to the belief that there must be a clear difference between the normal model and the RS model, especially in the era of electric vehicles. This will be part of Audi's DNA in the electrification world

To realize the 100 percent electrification ambitious goal, Audi will take advantage of a number of advanced technologies that have been tested on the E-tron GT Hospital model with extraordinary performance. The first wave for EV hospital-type models will use the PPE architecture that Audi and Porsche have developed, signaling a strong collaboration among Volkswagen Group brands.
