KPK Leaders And Councils For The 2024-2029 Period Have Just Started Work On December 20 Despite Being Inaugurated Today

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto has taken the oath of office of the Leader and Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for the period 2024-2029 today, Monday, December 16. However, they have just started working as of December 20 in accordance with Presidential Decree Number 161P/2024.

This decree was read by the Deputy for Apparatus Administration of the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) Nanik Purwanti at the State Palace, Jakarta.

"The dismissal with respect and appointment as referred to in the first, second, third, and fourth dictums starting December 20, 2024," said Nanik as shown on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube.

The five KPK leaders who took the oath of office were Setyo Budiyanto as the chairman and concurrently a member of the KPK. Then there were also four Deputy Chairmen of the KPK and concurrently members of the KPK, namely Agus Joko Pramono, Fitroh Rohcahyanto, Ibnu Basuki Widodo, and Johanis Tanak.

Meanwhile, the KPK Supervisory Board who was inaugurated were Gus Rizal as Chairman and Council Members and four members, namely Chisca Mirawati, Benny Mamoto, Wisnu Baroto, and Sumpeno.

After the decree was read, the KPK leadership and Supervisory Board were sworn in. They were accompanied by clergy.

"Truly that I am to carry out this task, directly or indirectly by using any name or method, I also do not give or promise anything to anyone."

"I swear that I do or do not do something in this task, will never receive directly or indirectly from anyone a promise or gift."

"I swear that I will be loyal to and will maintain and practice Pancasila as the basis of the state, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and the prevailing laws and regulations, for the Republic of Indonesia."

"I swear that I will always carry out my duties and authorities seriously, carefully, objectively, honestly, bravely, FAIRly, not differentiate my position, ethnicity, religion, race, gender, and group. And will carry out my obligations as well as possible and fully responsible to God Almighty, society, nation and state."

"I swear that I will always refuse, or not accept, or not be influenced by anyone's interference. I will also remain firm in carrying out my duties and authority as mandated by law to me," read the oath read.
