Campus Says About Aldi Nababan, A Medan Student Who Was Allegedly Killed In Bali

DENPASAR - Aldi Sahilatua Nababan (23) a student from Medan, North Sumatra, who died in his boarding house which was allegedly murdered was known as a quiet figure and had no problems at his college.

Aldi studied at the Elizabeth International Campus in Denpasar City, Bali.

"We are also trying to gather information, because coincidentally even though I am here I don't teach directly Aldi. However, some of our teachers said and his friends that Aldi was very quiet. Very quiet and as far as we know there was no problem while on campus. Aldi is a good, quiet child, and not a student who has problems," said Director of Quality Assurance & Operation Elisabeth International Bali Diah Suryandari, Thursday, November 23.

Aldi's status is still in academic leave status. Aldi is a student majoring in double major room vision.

"Aldi studied in January 2022, then had time to do an internship process at one of the hotel trainings starting in June 2022, until December 2, 2022. After that, indeed every student has an obligation to complete the final report before they graduate," he added.

However, his party did not know what obstacles Aldi faced, so Aldi applied for academic leave to the campus.

"When students have not finished carrying out the academic process, students can apply for leave. Where the leave is at least two semesters or one year," he explained.

On December 19, 2022, Aldi sent a form to apply for academic leave which had been signed by students and with the knowledge of Aldi's parents.

However, since December 19, 2022 until it was found that Aldi died on Saturday (18/11), Aldi was already inactive on campus.

"From December 19, 2022, until this incident, aldi was deactivated on campus Elizabeth International and there was no communication at all with the campus," he said.

Denpasar Police, Bali, conducted an investigation regarding the viral murder of a student in Bali named Aldi Sahilatua Nababan (23) who died in his boarding room, on Jalan By Pass, Ngurah Rai, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali.

"And it is known that the body was found on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 08.30 WITA," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Denpasar Police, Police Commissioner Losa Lusiano Araujo.
