BOGOR - The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Bogor, West Java, has adjusted the operating hours of trucks or special mining transportation in its area to those imposed by the Tangerang Regency Government, Banten, from 22.00 WIB to 05.00 WIB. Bogor Regent Iwan Setiawan revealed that changes in operating hours were made based on input from various parties, especially the community, in order to overcome the buildup of mining trucks that residents often complained about. "So far, the difference in the time lag is too fast, in Tangerang it's open at 10 (night), now at 8 (night)," said Iwan in Cibinong, Bogor, Antara, Monday, November 20. The new provisions regarding the operating hours of special mining transportation are regulated through the Bogor Regent Regulation (Perbup) Number 160 of 2023 which replaces Perbup Number 120 of 2021. The operating hours of special mining goods transportation vehicles which originally took effect at 20.00 WIB-05.00 WIB to 22.00 WIB-05.00 WIB. According to Iwan, so far there has been too much time difference regarding the operating hours of mining trucks in Tangerang Regency and Bogor Regency. This condition is one of the causes of the buildup. "“That's why the results of the discussion, study and see the conditions directly, we took steps to equalize the operating hours. At we start opening at 10 o'clock, Tangerang is also received at 10 o'clock, so hopefully there will be no buildup,” he also said. He also provides space for the community through articles on community participation in the perbup changes. The community can participate in the implementation of this Perbup through supervision, providing suggestions or opinions, to submitting information or complaints. To maximize the application of these rules, Iwan also instructed the Bogor Regency Transportation Service (Dishub) to supervise for 24 hours. Not only that, he also asked the Bogor Regency PUPR Office to immediately follow up on the proposal to repair the Serpong-Bogor Highway section to West Java Province because it entered the provincial road.

"I ask the officers to carry out the supervision properly. Regarding the damaged road conditions, I have also instructed the PUPR Service to communicate with the West Java PUPR for immediate repairs, because the information has also been prioritized,” he said again.
