JAKARTA - The Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) revealed that the construction of the State Capital Access Toll Road or IKN Nusantara is targeted for completion next April.
"The IKN Access Toll Road is targeted to be completed in April 2024," said BPJT Member of Public Elements Tulus Abadi in Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, November 16.
The completion of the IKN Access Toll Road is in order for the toll road to be used in August 2024 or during the celebration of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day at IKN Nusantara.
"The target is before August 2024, the IKN Nusantara Access Toll Road has been completed," he said.
The Ministry of PUPR is currently building a number of sections for the IKN Access Toll Road. The IKN Section 5A Access Toll Road currently has a construction progress of 61.34 percent.
The IKN Section 5A Access Toll Road will be connected to the IKN Section 5B Access Toll Road as connectivity access to IKN Very Important Airport (VVIP).
Meanwhile, the IKN Section 3A and 3B Access Toll Roads currently have construction progress of 34.22 percent and 42.67 percent, respectively.
The IKN Section 3A and 3B Access Toll Roads are connected to the Balikpapan - Samarinda Toll Road which has been operational first.
The IKN Access Toll Road was built to connect the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) of IKN Nusantara with the City of Balikpapan.
This toll road can cut Balikpapan - KIPP IKN Nusantara travel time from 2.5 hours to about 30 minutes.
The IKN Access Toll Road construction project is part of the construction of the Nusantara IKN, so it uses funds from the APBN.
The IKN Access Toll Road is one of the basic infrastructures in IKN whose construction is accelerated by the Ministry of PUPR in order to support connectivity and the gradual start of moving the nation's capital from Jakarta to IKN Nusantara in 2024.
