The Health Office (Dinkes) is tracing residents' reports about the alleged poor service of childbirth at a clinic in Tasikmalaya causing a baby to die.
"We will definitely look for complete information first, then what we will look like, we'll see how it develops first," said Head of the Tasikmalaya City Health Office, Uus Supangt, when contacted, Thursday, November 16, as quoted by Antara.
Information on the problem at the delivery clinic was received by the Tasikmalaya City Health Office on Wednesday, November 15. After that, a clinic was summoned for questioning.
In addition, he continued, the Tasikmalaya City Health Office also received reports from patients who complained about health services at the clinic which were considered to have harmed them.
"What kind of case do you not know, from the family side what the version is, what kind of service providers do you not know," he said.
He conveyed that in this case the Tasikmalaya City Health Office had moved to immediately resolve it while still providing an opportunity for an explanation from both parties.
While in the stage of gathering information related to the actual incident, Uus appealed to both parties to exercise restraint until the real problem could be known.
"If the Health Office, in this case, only sees what the case is like, we will respect each other's rights and their respective obligations," he said.
Representative from the patient's family, Nadia Anastasia (31) said that her party had reported to the Tasikmalaya City Health Office regarding health service problems that were considered bad at a clinic.
He explained that the case began when his younger brother underwent a delivery at a clinic in Tasikmalaya City, Monday, November 13 night. While at the clinic, said Nadia, it seemed that she did not get a good service or response.
The services that are considered unfavorable, he said, include officers who handle unprofessional patients such as working while playing cell phones, then suspected of being objects of students who are practicing at the clinic.
Furthermore, after completing the delivery, his younger brother was not cleaned as usual, while the baby who had a weight of about 1.5 kilograms by officers was put into the incubator.
Furthermore, the clinic asked the mother and baby to return home, on Tuesday, November 14, because there was nothing to handle further.
However, not yet one day at home, the baby's condition did not move, then took her to the clinic where the baby was born, then declared dead, then confirmed again by checking her to the hospital, but still not helped.
With this incident, the family asked for an explanation of the clinic and reported it to the Tasikmalaya City Health Office.
