JAKARTA - PT MRT Jakarta revealed an increase in the number of train users during the Coldplay concert on Wednesday, November 15 yesterday.

In the MRT Jakarta Instagram account, it is stated that the number of MRT passengers in Jakarta, Wednesday (15/11) was the largest in one day during the MRT operation, which was more than 163,000 people.

"On Wednesday, MRT Jakarta recorded a new history by successfully transporting 163,162 passengers in a day," wrote the://tjkt Instagram account, Thursday, November 16.

Based on MRT records, the average number of users in October 2023 is 101,306 people per day or still lower than the number of users last Wednesday.

Likewise in September 2023 with an average number of passengers of 100,968 per day or an average disclosure rate of 114,344 on weekdays and 74,215 on weekends.

The management of MRT Jakarta stated that this increase in the number of passengers also occurred thanks to the extension of MRT's operations until 01.30 WIB the next day. Usually, MRT only operates until 24.00 WIB.

The distance between trains or the 5 minute MRT headway is on November 15 at 07.00 a.m. local time, and at 17.00 p.m. local time. Meanwhile, the 10-minute headway is 09.00 p.m. at 17.00 p.m. local time, and 19.00 p.m. 01.30 p.m. local time.

"This extension of operating hours has been carried out several times by the Jakarta MRT to help the mobility of residents in attending events held around the Jakarta MRT Station," said MRT.

"Previously this was also done during the SMTOWN event in Jakarta. This is in line with the Jakarta #UbahJakarta MRT campaign, where this makes MRT Jakarta part of the people's lifestyle," he added.
