Central Java Regional Police Chief Explains Mangrove Planting in Central Java Since 2021 to National Police Chief and Coordinating Minister for PMK

SEMARANG – Central Java Regional Police (Polda Jateng) planted 35 thousand tree seedlings. The planting within the Central Java Regional Police was centered at Mako K9 Dit Samapta Central Java Regional Police, Aspol Banyumanik I Gedawang, Kec. Banyumanik, Semarang City, Wednesday, November 15 2023.

At this location, 1,000 tree seedlings were planted which were accompanied by similar activities at each police station in the Central Java Regional Police with a total of 34 thousand tree seedlings.

In front of the National Police Chief and the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Human Development and Culture Coordinator) via teleconference, the Central Java Regional Police Chief explained the activities that had been carried out to support the Green Economy program initiated by President Jokowi.

Firstly, the Central Java Regional Police Chief explained the Mageri Segoro Program, namely the planting of mangroves on the Pantura route throughout the Central Java region, starting in October 2021. The Go Green program, namely the acceleration of tree planting in all Mako starting from the Regional Police to the Sector Police, including the Police Dormitory.

Meanwhile, this tree planting is part of a collaboration with the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK). Apart from the PJU Polda Central Java, this activity was also attended by representatives from the PJ Governor of Central Java and Kodam IV Diponegoro including the Chair of the Central Java Provincial BNN along with the Regional Headquarters and all related Ministries.

"In order to plant 10 million trees simultaneously. Today we are planting trees at Mako K9 Dit Samapta Polda Jateng, Aspol Banyumanik Semarang City, which has a very strategic location because our area is an industrial area," said Inspector General Ahmad Lutfi.

His party claims that they have focused on reforestation in the Central Java region, both coastal and critical land.

"We are accelerating all of this through collaboration with Central Java Perhutani and the Ministry of the Environment in supporting the tree planting program," he concluded.
