Former Principal And Deputy Suspect Of Program Fund Corruption At SMKPP Negeri Padang

The Padang District Attorney's Office, West Sumatra, has named two suspects with the initials S and HG in the case of alleged corruption in the Excellence Center Program funds at the Padang State Agricultural Development Vocational High School (SMKPP). Head of the Intelligence Section of the Padang Kejari Afliandi said suspect S was a former school principal, while HG was the former deputy head of SMKPP. "After determining the two suspects, the investigation continues to be carried out by the Padang Attorney General's Special Crime Investigation Team for filing purposes," he said in Padang, Antara, Wednesday, November 15. PK funds are a program from the Ministry of Education and Culture for vocational high schools in physical and unphysical activities in 2021 and 2022. Physical activities include building student practice rooms, hallways, sanitation, and repairing greenhouses. Meanwhile, unphysical for learning activities and the purchase of practical tools. Prosecutors' investigators suspect that in this case there has been misuse of funds for the Center for Excellence Program which is not in accordance with its designation. He said the value of state financial losses that appeared in the case was estimated at around Rp220 million. "Until now, the investigative team is still completing the case files by examining witnesses and experts," he said. Afliandi explained that the total number of witnesses who had been examined was 25 people, plus two expert witnesses. Suspects S and HG are suspected of violating Articles 2 and 3 of Law 31 of 1999 as amended and added to Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.

The corruption case at SMKPP Negeri Padang originated from public information received by the Padang Kejari regarding the alleged misappropriation of PK funds received by the school from the Ministry of Education and Culture.
