SYL Extortion Continues To Be Investigated, Today Police Check Director Of Gratification And Public Services Of The KPK

The investigation into the alleged extortion case carried out by the leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) against the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, continues. Today, investigators will examine two witnesses, one of whom is the Director of Gratification and Public Services of the KPK.

"There is one examination of witnesses from KPK RI employees," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak in his statement, Wednesday, November 15.

Based on the information received, the KPK employee who will be questioned is the Director of Gratification and Public Services, Herda Helmijaya.

The examination process, said Ade, will take place at Bareskrim Polri, at around 10.00 WIB.

In addition, investigators will also examine one other witness. However, the identity of the witness is unknown.

Ade was also reluctant to elaborate on this matter. It was only conveyed if one witness would be questioned at the Polda Metro Jaya.

"One witness examination at the Tipidkor Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya," said Ade.

In an effort to find a suspect in this case, investigators have examined 94 witnesses and experts as of November 13. The details are 86 witnesses and 8 experts.

Meanwhile, witnesses who have been examined include Syahrul Yasin Limpo, former aide to Firli Bahuri, Kevin Egananta. Then there is the Semarang Police Chief Kombes Pol Irwan Anwar, Director of Dumas KPK Tomi Murtomo, as well as two former KPK leaders Saut Situmorang and M Jasin.

Then there is also the Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery of the Ministry of Agriculture Muhammad Hatta.

For experts, it is not known in detail. However, investigators had asked for the views of criminal law experts, procedural law experts, multimedia experts, and micro expressions experts.

In this case, it is suspected that there was a criminal act that occurred, namely, Article 12 letter e, Article 12 letter B and or Article 11 of the Corruption Crime Act in conjunction with Article 65 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
