Anies Affirms Cak Imin Asks To Supervise Cheating Players Not Insinuating Certain Paslons

Presidential candidate Anies Baswedan emphasized that the statement of anticipation of cheating players in the election mentioned by his vice presidential candidate, Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) during the draw and determination of the serial number for the 2024 presidential election did not insinuate certain pairs of candidates.

According to Anies, when Cak Imin gave a speech and flicked it, all supporting parties including other candidate pairs seemed to agree.

"Just look at which applause were you? When Gus Imin spoke, all the applause, no? If everyone applauds, it means everyone agrees. If someone doesn't applaud, it means thinking," said Anies at the KPU RI office, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, November 14.

In his remarks after receiving the serial number, Cak Imin considered the 2024 election to be like a football match. All eyes must supervise the running of the presidential election so that fraud does not occur as an anticipation.

"If we see elections like football, if there are cheating players, please scream at them so they don't cheat. If there are referees and our players take photos and we disseminate them, if there are referees who cheat, we report them to FIFA as the highest institution. If there are naughty players photos and go viral all over. That is the election to protect each other. The election is our nation's bet, "explained Cak Imin.

Cak Imin claims that his party does not want democracy to go backwards and without a clear direction. The AMIN winning team, Cak Imin stated, is ready to participate in the competition in a healthy and supportive manner.

"To all the people, look at the election like a football competition, we want to watch the team of each vice presidential candidate play sportsmanshiply playing openly, so it's like the people have to enjoy the election with great joy, togetherness, compete but still have a family," he continued.

Tonight, the presidential and vice presidential candidates have drawn serial numbers for the 2024 presidential election. As a result, Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar received number one, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka received number two, and Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD received number three.

When opening the tube containing the serial number, the pairs of presidential and vice-presidential candidates compactly greeted their fingers. Anies-Cak Imin raised his index finger, Prabowo-Gibran brandished two fingers such as the peace symbol, and Ganjar-Mahfud raised three fingers like metal greetings.

This draw mechanism is divided into two stages. Taking queue numbers to take serial numbers is carried out by the vice president. The vice presidential candidate who takes the first queue number is the one who registers first to the KPU. Furthermore, the candidate pair number is taken by the presidential candidate.

The serial number obtained by the presidential and vice presidential candidates was immediately recorded by the Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Hasyim Asy'ari. Hasyim then read out the determination.

"Thus, the number of presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs for the 2024 General Election is number one for candidate pairs Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar, number two for candidate pair Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, number three for candidate pair Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD," explained Hasyim.

The Anies-Muhaimin (AMIN) pair is supported by NasDem, PKB and PKS political parties. Ganjar-Mahfud is supported by the PDI-P political parties (PDIP), the United Development Party (PPP), the Indonesian Unity Party (Perindo), and the Hanura Party.

Meanwhile, Prabowo-Gibran is promoted/supported by the Greater Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra), the Golkar Party (Golkar), the National Mandate Party (PAN), the Democratic Party, the Crescent Star Party (PBB), the Indonesian People's Wave Party (Gelora), the Garda Party of the Republic of Indonesia (Garuda), and the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI).
