RSUD Sayang Cianjur Prepares Special Rooms Including Psychiatrists For Depression Candidates Who Fail In Elections

CIANJUR - The Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Sayang Cianjur, West Java, provides a special room for prospective members of the stress or depression legislature due to failure in the 2024 General Election, including providing specialist doctors such as psychologists and psychiatrists. The President Director of the Sayang Cianjur Hospital, Dr. Irvan Nur Fauzy, said that various other services would be provided for stressed candidates ranging from the inpatient room, house visits to treatment referrals at Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital or Mental Hospital in Lembang, West Bandung Regency. "Currently, only one room is available with two beds, this is done so that services and data collection can be carried out reflecting from the past five years, where many legislative candidates need psychological assistance," he said in Cianjur, Antara, Monday, November 13. His party noted that in the 2019 election there were a number of failed candidates who experienced stress and depression who underwent treatment and special treatment at the hospital and were even referred. In fact, his party will provide socialization to legislative candidates who will fight in the 2024 General Election regarding understanding of controlling stress before and after the election results come out so that no one experiences severe stress and depression so they have to undergo special treatment. "Every people's party is not a common secret, many failed candidates experience various stress and depression ranging from mild to severe but the data is incomplete, so that next year's election data collection will be more complete," he said. Irvan explained that the symptoms of the disease that were felt in the legislative candidates seemed to be psychosomatic like an ordinary illness but as part of stress ahead or even after the election results were announced later. "Usually before and after the election, many complaints are felt, such as pain in the heart, continuing to hurt the head, but after checking everything is normal, this indicates psychosomatic depending on the severity," said Irvan.

So to anticipate this, his party will provide socialization to the candidates participating in the 2024 General Election regarding how to avoid stress and depression ahead and after the election, including providing special inpatient rooms for those experiencing it.
