MER-C Humanitarian Aid Has Been Distributed To Indonesian Hospitals In Palestine

JAKARTA - Humanitarian assistance from the Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C) said that assistance had been distributed to Indonesian Hospitals in the northern region of the Gaza Strip.

The assistance provided to Indonesian hospitals is in the form of medicines, medical equipment, foodstuffs and dates, as quoted from the @merciindonesia account on platform X quoted on Saturday, November 11.

"Alhamdulillah, today is November 9, 2023... we, the MER-C team, are giving dates to be given to Indonesian hospitals," said MER-C volunteer in Gaza, Reza Aldilla Kurniawan.

"We have also conveyed the mandate of the Indonesian people in the form of medicines, paramedics, dates and lunch," he added.

Reza also said that they were trying to provide lunch for Indonesian Hospital employees, adding that it was very difficult to find a kitchen to cook in the area.

Previously, an MER-C volunteer who was at the Indonesian Hospital, Fikri Rofil Haq, on Wednesday (8/11) said to ANTARA that humanitarian aid had not been able to enter the northern region of Gaza where the Indonesian Hospital was located.

"Indeed, there are several trucks that are allowed into the Gaza Strip, but (assistance) from some of the trucks cannot be distributed evenly," said Fikri.

He said that humanitarian assistance that entered from the Rafah border gate in southern Gaza had not yet reached the Indonesian hospital in northern Gaza.

Fikri said the border gate in Rafah had been closed again so that the movement of residents and humanitarian aid was again restrained.
