TKN Young Voters: Prabowo Commits To Support Indonesian Football Progress

JAKARTA - The Commander of the National Campaign Team (TKN) for Young Voters for Prabowo-Gibran, Arief Rosyid Hasan, emphasized that Prabowo Subianto's future presidential candidate is committed to supporting advancing Indonesian football so that it continues to score proud achievements in the international arena.

"I believe that with Pak Prabowo's commitment to walking with young people, the potential for young people in the national team will be maximized. He is committed to advancing Indonesian football," said Arief in his statement in Jakarta, Saturday.

He said Indonesia had a golden opportunity to be in the world's spotlight for the U-17 World Cup in several cities in Indonesia. In addition to showing a supportive football climate, the U-17 World Cup is a means to accelerate the talents of Garuda Muda.

"On the occasion of Heroes' Day on November 10, 2023, we are all proud to be witnesses to the U-17 World Cup event, including the presence of a presidential candidate whom we are proud of Prabowo Subianto. Since last year, he has stated that he will definitely watch the World Cup if there is a national team as a participant," he said.

Arief appreciated PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir and all his staff for working on the implementation of the U-17 World Cup series. This, according to him, includes including by including young Indonesian diaspora who competed in the international arena to go home and support the national team.

"I feel proud of the fighting spirit shown by the U-17 national team brothers and sisters. Hopefully, with the sustainability of good coaching from PSSI, five years to 10 years from now, we will see a very solid and high-quality team," he said.

Arief admitted that he was impressed with the enthusiasm of the supporters who attended the inaugural U-17 national team match. The students who attended came from Islamic boarding schools around East Java, including Tambakberas, Tebu Ireng, and Bumi Shalawat.
