Prabowo Inaugurates RS In Papua And Hands Over 164 Service Vehicles For The TNI-Polri

JAYAPURA - Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto inaugurated Hospital (RS) Tk. IV Timika Kesdam XVII/Cendrawasih, Papua. In addition to the inauguration, Prabowo also handed over 164 units of official vehicles to the TNI and Polri.

"We just saw the completion of the Level IV Hospital Kesdam XVII/Cendrawasih, and this is a hospital, I think it has just been built, in the Timika area for the benefit of the TNI but is also open to all the people around here," said the Minister of Defense, Friday, November 10.

The Minister of Defense also expressed his appreciation and thanked all parties who have contributed to building the Tk. IV Timika Hospital in a short time.

"Also in particular, I would like to thank the people of Kamoro, the Kamoro tribe. Because if I'm not mistaken, this land was donated by the Kamoro Tribe for the benefit of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia," continued the Minister of Defense.

The Minister of Defense stated that the construction of hospitals will continue to be carried out until the end of the year to become 26 hospitals that were inaugurated. Then next year, the plan will be added another 20 hospitals.

"So our goal is that our ideals in every district must be modern hospitals with sufficient facilities. So, soldiers, ASN and the people, if necessary, don't go far. But there are health services near them," said the Minister of Defense.

Furthermore, Defense Minister Prabowo signed the inscription of Tk Hospital. IV Timika, which indicates that the hospital has officially been able to operate.

Before carrying out the inauguration of the hospital, Defense Minister Prabowo visited Makodim 1710/Mimika and was greeted by Pangkogabwilhan III, Pangdam XVII/Cendrawasih, and Pangkoopsau III. On that occasion, Defense Minister Prabowo received an explanation from Pangkogabwilhan III regarding the current conditions from the Papua region.

To support the smooth implementation of the TNI and Polri duties, Defense Minister Prabowo handed over 164 motorcycles with details of 70 (seventy) units for Kodim 1710/Mimika, 3 (three) units for Lanud, 3 (three) units for Lanal, and 3 (three) units for Polres.

Then 10 (ten) units for Kogabwilhan III, 25 (twenty five) units for Denkav 3/SC Dam XVII/Cendrawasih, and 50 (fifty units) for Infantry Battalion 757 Kodam XVII/Cendrawasih.

"On behalf of the government, I would like to convey greetings from the President of the Republic of Indonesia to all of you. I also express my gratitude for your appreciation and service," said the Minister of Defense.

"You are a representative from the Republic of Indonesia here. I remind and emphasize that the TNI is a people's soldier. The TNI must always defend the people. The TNI must unite with the people. The TNI must always maintain health, as well as happiness, and protect the interests of all of our people," continued the Minister of Defense.
