Integrated Team Ordered Illegal Buildings On The Land Of The Medan City Government

The integrated team carried out controlling illegal buildings on land assets belonging to the Medan City Government, North Sumatra (North Sumatra) which is the Number 1 Management Right (HPL) in Tanjung Selamat Village, Medan Tuntungan.

"We and today's integrated team have just brought order and secured the Medan City Government's strategic assets, namely HPL 1 Tanjung Selamat," said Head of the Medan City Asset Finance Agency Zulkarnain Lubis in Medan as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, November 9.

With the support of the TNI/Polri apparatus, he said, the integrated team forcibly dismantled, including fences, signposts, huts, and other similar buildings that were established on this strategic asset.

The operation to control land assets belonging to the Medan City Government in Medan Tuntung was relatively smooth with a fairly conducive atmosphere and without significant obstacles.

"The set of land covering an area of 265,135 square meters belonging to the Medan City Government is based on HPL 1 Tanjung Selamat issued by BPN (National Land Agency) in 1990," said Zulkarnain.

The control step was taken because the Medan City Government had a master plan for the land assets, namely establishing the Medan Binjai Deli Serdang (Medan field) Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) depot.

"This mass transportation system development program is of course very much needed by residents of Medan City. Moreover, the BRT route passes through the route to support various socio-economic activities in this area," he said.

He also admitted that the control was carried out because of activities on land without a permit from the Medan City Government as the owner of the management rights.

"This control is part of the socialization of regional regulation enforcement in order to create peace and public order in the midst of society," he explained.

Zulkarnain emphasized that before the control was carried out, the Medan City Government had given warnings three times, and even last year the same warning was also conveyed.

In addition, residents who use the City Government land without permission have also been advised to immediately stop their activities and dismantle the building voluntarily.

"The warning letter given includes the overall ban on the use and use of HPL, such as farming and so on," said Zulkarnain.
