Become A Broker, Entrepreneur Billy Rice Receives Billion Fees From The DJKA Project

Entrepreneur Billy Hariyanto alias Billy Beras received a fee of billions of rupiah from various goods and services procurement projects at the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation for his role as a person who connects or brokers.

Billy, who was examined as a witness in the alleged bribery case in the DJKA project at the Semarang Corruption Court, Central Java, Thursday, said that the fee was an advantage for his services in connecting job providers with service provider contractors.

Billy was questioned as a witness in the case with the defendant Head of the Central Java Railway Engineering Center (BTP) Putu Sumarjaya and the Central Java BTP commitment maker Bernard Hasibuan.

"After connecting, we got a share of the profits," he said in a trial chaired by Chief Judge Gatot Sarwadi as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, November 9.

The rice entrepreneur received a fee from the President Director of PT Istana Putra Agung Dion Renato Sugiarto of IDR 3.2 billion for the railway line construction project between Solo Balapan-Kalioso Station for the JGSS 4 package.

He admitted that Dion asked Dion for help so that he could work on the JGSS 4 project which he then submitted to the Director of Infrastructure DJkaharno Trimadi.

Billy also admitted that he knew the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi and had also visited his house in Jakarta.

In addition to projects in Solo, Billy also obtained a project fee at the East Java Technical Center with a total of IDR 2.2 billion which was also carried out by Dion Renato.

For the work on the Bogor-Sukabumi railway line in West Java, the witness also received a fee of IDR 1.6 billion.

Another witness examined in the case, Commissioner of PT Gamba Prima Utama Roni Gunawan also received a fee even though he did not work on the railway project at DJKA.

The witness who called the fee a compensation money also came from Dion Renato Sugiarto.

Roni received a fee of IDR 400 million for the JGSS 4 project, IDR 1 billion for projects in Cicalengka, West Java, and IDR 400 million for railway projects in Padang, West Sumatra.

"In the Cicalengka project, I KSO with PT Istana Putera Agung. However, Dion was asked not to work and to be compensated for IDR 1 billion," he said.

Head of the Central Java Railway Engineering Center (BTP) Putu Sumarjaya was tried for receiving fees from the implementing contractor of three projects in Central Java.

Putu together with Central Java BTP commitment maker Bernard Hasibuan, who was also tried in the same case, engineered the Director of PT Istana Putra Agung Dion Renato Sugiarto as the winner of the three railway projects.

The three projects are each Solo Balapan-Kadipiro-Kalioso KM 96+400 to KM 104+900 (JGSS 6), construction of the KAelevatedSolo Balapan-Kadipiro KM 104+900 s.d. KM 106+900 (JGSS 4), and Track Layout Tegal Station.

The total fee received directly by the defendants Putu Sumarjaya and Bernard Hasibuan from these projects reached Rp7.4 billion.
