Police Galiards The Body Of IAIN Gorontalo Student Who Died During Argument

The Bone Bolango Resort Police (Polres), Gorontalo carried out the excavation of the corpse (exhumation) of a student of the State Islamic Institute of Religion (IAIN) Sultan Amai Gorontalo with the initials HS, who previously died in October.

Bone Bolango Police Chief AKBP Muhammad Alli said the exhumation process was carried out from 10.00 to 12.00 WITA, at a family cemetery located in Diloniyohu Village, Boliyohuto District, Gorontalo Regency, Gorontalo Province.

"The purpose of the exhumation activity is to find out what happened to the victim, whether it is true that he died of illness or died because there are other things," said the Police Chief, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, November 9.

Apart from being in the interests of the Police, another purpose of exhumation is to provide evidence to the family, so that they can know for sure what caused the death of the late HS.

During the exhumation process, a forensic expert found a blood clot in the head of HS, which was thought to have been the result of a collision. Based on these findings, the forensic team has also taken liquid from the head, liver and stomach for a deeper examination.

"After this, the liquid taken will still be examined, and we will report the results later," said the Police Chief.

He said related to the incident of HS' death while attending the arrest, the investigators of the Bone Bolango Police Criminal Investigation Unit had examined around 78 witnesses consisting of 34 screening participants, 42 executive committees, and doctors who at that time treated the victim when he was taken to the hospital.

"After that, then we will re-examine the committee from IAIN Gorontalo, which later we will determine the suspect," he said.

In addition to the Bone Bolango Police personnel, the Gorontalo Police and forensic experts, the implementation of the exhumation was also witnessed by the HS family to the local government.
