Flood Potential Areas In 25 Kelurahan Throughout Jakarta Are Areas Passed By 13 Rivers

JAKARTA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) detailed that 25 urban villages in Jakarta were allegedly flood-prone areas. The area is generally an area traversed by 13 rivers in Jakarta.

"For example, if Katulampa is on standby 2 or on alert 1, automatically there will be 6 to 8 hours, there will be areas that will experience an impact from the water level of Ciliwung. Such as Kalibata, Kebon Baru, Jatinegara, Condet and others," Isnawa Adji told reporters, Thursday, November 9.

On the other hand, continued Isnawa, the DKI Provincial Government (Pemprov) continues to optimize to prevent flooding.

"For example, the SDA Service has dredging, dredging river rivers in lake reservoirs, then there is the concept of 942, evaporation of 9 polders, 4 reservoirs, and revitalization of 2 rivers, then making vertical-vertical drainage," he said.

In addition, the Environment Agency (LH) has prepared 130 heavy equipment.

"The Natural Resources Service is ready with 300 heavy equipment. God willing, in this month, mud and river will be carried out to anticipate flooding in Jakarta," he said.
