Online Taxi Driver In Sukabumi Found Dead In Bound Hands And Feet

SUKABUMI - An online taxi driver was found dead in a condition of his hands and feet tied until his mouth was taped in his vehicle parked in a minimarket yard in Bencoy Village, Cireunghas District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java.

The Head of Cireunghas Police, Ipda Hendrayana, revealed that the discovery of the man's body contained in the white Daihatsu Xenia car began with the suspicion that residents as a result of the car had been parked for a long time in the minimarket yard. Residents then reported this finding to the police on Tuesday night. Police officers from the Cireunghas Police together with the Sukabumi City Police Sat Reskrim Inafis Team immediately evacuated the victim's body to R Syamsudin SH.Korban Hospital, who had been identified as Suparno (55 years) and was a Depok resident, usually working as an online taxi driver. "Today at around 19.00 WIB, residents reported the discovery of a suspicious car, and after examination, a (victim) was found tied in the vehicle," said Hendra on Wednesday 8 November. To determine the cause of death of the victim, his body was then examined by a forensic team of doctors and an autopsy was carried out. R Syamsudin SH Hospital Forensic Doctor, Nurul Aida Fathia, revealed the autopsy results that the victim died from lack of oxygen. "No significant injuries were found such as open wounds or injuries to the victim's knee. What is clear is that the victim suffered an oxygen deficiency," he explained. The victim is thought to have died for more than 24 hours, considering that his body had started to rot.

"Excessive breathing appears in this victim. Based on the estimated time of death, given signs of decay in his body, the victim is thought to have died more than 24 hours, perhaps between one and two days ago," he added. The police are currently conducting an investigation into the alleged murder that befell this online taxi driver.
