Having Tied His Feet And Hands, Polda Metro Jaya Members Extorted Rp500 Million With The Threat Of Murder

TANGERANG - Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tangerang Metro Police, Kompol Rio Mikael Tobing, revealed that three perpetrators of the attempted murder of a member of the Directorate Pam Obvit Polda Metro Jaya, Bripka Topan Febriyanto, asked for Rp500 million.

"Suspect N asked the victim for some money. Because he felt pressured and afraid at that time the victim promised to accept a request from the suspect regarding 500 million," Rio told reporters, Wednesday, November 8.

Rio explained that the attempted murder began with the suspect AI's heartache for the victim's wife for leaking her home address to where AI worked. Because, at that time AI was being sought regarding the alleged fraudulent placement of work at the Transportation Service.

"So, this AI is hiding because there are other cases involved. Where, this AI received some money for the admission process at the Transportation Service. AI felt hurt because its whereabouts were notified by the victim's wife," he said.

AI told S and N and the three of them were planning an attempted murder of Bripka Topan.

"The three of them agreed. And the AI suspect planned a murder," he said.

Bripka Topan was framed by the perpetrators with the excuse of wanting to meet his business partner. However, in the middle of the road, Bripka Topan was snared in the neck using a tier cable. He was threatened with death and the three perpetrators asked for Rp500 million.

"The victim reasoned that he would sell his car to fulfill the perpetrators' request," he said.

Typhoons that have been released return home and decided to make a police report to the Tangerang City Metro Police on Thursday, October 19.

The police who received the report immediately followed up and managed to arrest the three perpetrators.
