JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Hadi Tjahjanto stated that the Anti-Mafia Land Task Force managed to save 48 hectares of government-owned land worth Rp. 10 trillion.

"Currently, the handling of the problem has reached the determination and detention of one suspect by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police," Hadiusai said attending the Tanah Anti-Mafia Task Force Coordination Meeting, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 8.

According to Hadi, the issue of the Certificate of Use Number 1 Jatikarya has been going on for 24 years, and there are eight lawsuits in the court of state administration, civil courts, and criminal courts.

Previously, he said, a person with the initials CBG along with 78 other people through his attorney sued the Ministry of Land and the TNI Commander on land in Jatikarya.

The Minister of ATR/BPN explained that the plaintiff demanded compensation of Rp. 228,713,000,400.00 in compensation of Rp. 218,893,207,400.00 for land acquisition affected by the construction of the Cimanggis-Cibitung 1 Toll Road, and demanded part of the land area. "This is where the TNI Commander forwards to the Tanah Anti-Mafia Task Force, then the task force carries out legal remedies. From the task force, it has succeeded in saving Certificate of Rights Using Number 1 Jatikarya and of course succeeded in saving an area of 48 hectares which is estimated at IDR 10 trillion," said Hadi.

The determination and detention of one suspect, said Hadi, is the government's achievement and seriousness in eradicating the land mafia.

"Alhamdulillah, after running for approximately 6 months, and the perpetrators have also been prosecuted, and of course this 48 hectare land is again the legal property of the TNI Headquarters," said Yudousai attending the Coordination Meeting of the Anti-Mafia Land Task Force.

The prosecution of the land mafia case in Jatikarya, Bekasi, said Yudo, is an example for the prosecution of various land dispute cases in Indonesia.

"I always tell them (Soil Anti-Mafia Task Force) every meeting, don't be afraid of the land mafia. This is already the President's order to eradicate the land mafia, so whoever is involved, whether the TNI itself is involved, please immediately process the law," said the TNI Commander.
