In East Java, Puan Asks Supporters To Accept Reality There Is A Phenomenon 'Old Friends Become New Opponents'

The chairman of the PDI-P DPP as well as the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, inaugurated the office of the Ganjar-Mahfud Regional Winning Team (TPD) for East Java Province (East Java) in Surabaya. He said that East Java is currently a struggle to win the 2024 General Election.

Prior to the inauguration ceremony, Puan together with thousands of supporters of Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md exercise a healthy road together who finished in front of the East Java TPD office, Saturday, November 4 morning. The East Java Ganjar-Mahfud TPD office is located on Jalan Kecilung, Ketabang, Surabaya.

At the beginning of her speech, Puan asked for the readiness of the East Java TPD to win Ganjar-Mahfud in the 2024 presidential election. Given, the time before voting is only 101 days left.

"This means that if we want Pak Ganjar and Pak Mahfud to win, then we can no longer relax, we cannot delay winning work," said Puan.

According to him, the work of winning Ganjar-Mahfud must be boosted from now on with the aim of tapping people's days. The entire ranks of the winning team are reminded to go to the field so that the people know that Ganjar-Mahfud is a suitable couple to lead Indonesia in the future.

In addition, Puan also asked all supporters to give up friends who are now opponents.

"Don't anyone think that the friend who has become an opponent is actually playing and the original is still with us. There is no such thing. Already, accept the fact that old friends have become new opponents," said the former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture.

Puan then talked about Indonesia, which is now faced with worrying new-order seeds. For this reason, he asked all supporters to be solid and focused on the goal of winning a trustworthy leader and devoteing themselves to Indonesia.

"Even though the storm is blocking us, we should never be afraid, never be afraid, we will remain upright in winning our struggle," said Puan.

"We have to be smart in the work of winning Ganjar-Mahfud. If the door in front of us is closed and locked, then we look for a window to enter. If there is a portal that blocks our way, we jump through the portal. If someone puts the wall in front of us, we look for a hammer to collapse the wall," said Puan.

The Advisory Board for the Ganjar-Mahfud National Winning Team (TPN GM) then explained why PDIP chose to carry Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD as presidential and vice presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election. Puan said Ganjar was a complete package with two experiences as a member of the DPR and two periods for the Governor of Central Java.

"Meanwhile, Mr. Mahfud, a native son of East Java, has experience with Trias Politica, was a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, has been a minister and is now a coordinating minister, has been a Constitutional Court Judge," he said.

"So our candidate is good stuff," continued Puan.

"We chose Ganjar-Mahfud because we wanted Indonesia to be superior, not just advancing, but superior to other nations. We chose Ganjar-Mahfud because we wanted the Indonesian people to be prosperous. We chose Ganjar-Mahfud because we wanted Indonesia to be fulfilled with a sense of justice," he continued.

Puan also invited all Ganjar-Mahfud supporters to work together. Because to achieve the goal, you cannot if you walk alone, so all must unite with the people because they will determine the future of the nation and state.

"So it is important that we make the TPD office of Ganjar-Mahfud, East Java Province as a place to meet the people, where people can complain, where people can pray," said Puan.

"This is where the nationalists can close ranks, work hand in hand, help each other to win what Bung Karno aspired to, founding fathers, our proclaimers to make Indonesia more advanced, superior, and prosperous," continued the first woman to serve as Chair of the DPR RI.
