Indonesia Appreciates ILO Partnership Support In The Manpower Sector

The Ministry of Manpower expresses its appreciation for the support and cooperation of the International Labor Organization (ILO) in the employment sector.

"I am sure that under Mr. Peter Van Rooj (Director of the ILO Partnership) the support and partnership between Indonesia and the ILO in the field of employment will be better and will continue to grow," said Head of the Ministry of Manpower Cooperation Bureau, Muhammad Arif Hidayat in his statement in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Saturday, November 4.

In a bilateral meeting with the Director of the ILO Partnership in Geneva, Switzerland, Friday (3/11) local time, Arif said ILO's support for the Ministry of Manpower was related to the implementation of the Decent Work Country Programmes or the 2020-2025 Indonesia National Decent Work Program, Industrial Relations and Social Security for Indonesian Workers, and Manpower Supervision and K3 Indonesia.

In addition, he added that ILO support is also in the form of expanding Indonesia's job opportunities, Indonesian vocational training, programs related to the issue of just transition to Green Economy and Green Jobs in Indonesia, and empowering local staff for ILO projects.

"We hope this cooperation can continue and continue to develop in the future," he said.

Previously, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Manpower, Anwar Sanusi, also conveyed that Indonesia's partnership with ILO would make the employment sector better.

"I believe that through the support and partnership between Indonesia and the ILO in the employment sector, it will improve and continue to grow," he said.

He hopes that this cooperation will continue and continue to develop in the employment sector.
