DKI Provincial Government Claims Cheap Food Queues Will No Longer Explode

Head of the DKI Jakarta Food, Maritime and Agriculture Security Service, Suharini Eliawati, said that her party had added locations for the distribution of cheap food or subsidized food.

Thus, Eli claims that the queues of residents who want to buy cheap food that are booming no longer happen. This is also thanks to the service of taking queue numbers that are opened online.

"At this time we are adding distribution points from 193 to 289. Then, we also open online for people who can already use online. Apparently, this reduces (the queue), down," Eli told reporters, Thursday, November 2.

Eli explained that this online queue number was served at the Perumda Pasar Jaya outlet. The public needs to build a queuekjp.pasarjaya.co.id site to register by entering a KK number and ID card.

"Later we will get the queue number, it also depends on what date we want to take it, what time, where is the outlet. That is allowed by the community itself," said Eli.

Then, to further unravel the queue at the distribution location, the DKI Provincial Government will gradually disburse the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) program assistance. Thus, the KJP recipient buys cheap food according to the time of disbursement.

"We are collaborating with the Education Office to disburse the KJP program in stages. In the past, it was immediately clear. Now we are coordinating. For example, the second week of elementary school, the next week is junior high and high school. This is one of the efforts so that there is no buildup," he explained.

Previously, member of the PKS faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Suhud Alynudin, complained about the practice of extortion in the implementation of the cheap food subsidy program held by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in Koja District, North Jakarta.

This extortion is said to have emerged because of the dense queues of residents who want to buy cheap food. In fact, it was reported that residents came to the location and started queuing since 3 am. Meanwhile, the sale of subsidized food only opened at 8 am.

Suhud explained that this extortion was carried out by setting prices for residents who wanted to get queues first in buying the cheap food. Residents who pay for extortion do not need to queue at the location because extortionists place stones or sandals in their queue numbers.

Responding to this, the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono admitted that he would follow up on complaints of extortion in the implementation of the food subsidy program that occurred in Koja District, North Jakarta.

"He said there was extortion, I also checked. Who is extortion. If my officers act," said Heru some time ago.

Heru admitted that he was aware of the booming queues for this cheap food program. Therefore, Heru admitted that he would summon the Food, Maritime and Agricultural Security Service (DKPKP) and the food BUMD to solve this problem.

"That's a good input, it's not just in Koja, yesterday it was also in several places. Maybe the public's interest is too high. But later, I'll call the KPKP Service and everything," said Heru.
