KKB Serang Nakes Di Amuma Yahukimo

Head of the Cartenz Peaceful Public Relations Task Force Akbp Bayu Suseno said KKB was the perpetrator of the attack on health workers from the Emergency Medical Regional Papua Health Reserve (TCK) team in Amuma District, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains.

"It is true that the five health workers who were deployed to Amuma District for a medical examination, Tuesday (31/10) were attacked by the KKB. When carrying out their actions, it is estimated that 20 perpetrators were reported to be carrying long-barreled firearms and short-barreled rifles and traditional weapons such as arrows and sharp weapons," he said in Jayapura as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 1.

The five health workers suffered injuries, namely dr. Danur Widura (39) Head of the Papua Regional Crisis Center Team suffered bruises on the left and right faces, back and left ribs.

Angganaita Mandowen (41), the Coordinator of the Papua Regional Center Crisis Team, suffered bruises on his left and right eyes. Sandy Ransar (23) a team member, suffered bruises on his left cheek. Ferdinand Suweni ( 33 years old) a member, suffered bruises on his left eye, right back of his right ear and bruises on his right rib.

Then Adrianus Edwardus Harapan (32 years old) the member suffered lacerations to his left hand and left thumb, bruises on his back, right face and lacerations to his lower lip.

"Currently it has been evacuated to Jayapura," he added.

Yahukimo Regent Didimus Yahuli separately expressed disappointment with the attack and mistreatment of a group of people against five health workers in Amuma District, last Tuesday (31/10).

"I am very disappointed with the incident of abuse that befell the health workers because their presence in Amuma is very noble, namely providing health services," said Regent Didimus.

It was said that the perpetrators were not Amuma residents because no local residents knew them.

"In addition, there is no hunger disaster and the condition of the community is in good condition," explained Didimus Yahuli.

Five health workers have been in Amuma since Monday (30/10) to conduct an examination of public health, which is reported to have experienced a hunger disaster.
