Visit SMKN 3 Sukawati Bali, Jokowi Sings Slank With Students

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) reviewed the learning process and educational facilities at the State Vocational High School (SMKN) 3 Sukawati, Gianyar Regency, Bali Province on Tuesday 31 October.

"SMK 3 Sukawati, Gianyar Regency, Bali Province, is very relevant to Bali, especially in the tourism sector, because here there are departments in the management of Boga, hospitality, dance, pedalangan, karawian, music... Everything is relevant to tourism in Bali," he said, quoted in a press release by the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta, October 31, which was confiscated by Antara.

Jokowi revealed the need to encourage the development of vocational schools in the tourism sector in the provinces that are tourist destinations in Indonesia.

He conveyed that the government's commitment to help improve learning facilities and infrastructure in vocational schools in the tourism sector.

During his visit to SMKN 3 Sukawati, Jokowi visited the tata boga studio, pedalangan studio, music studio, dance studio, and Karawitan studio.

"I see that some equipment needs to be updated here and earlier I agreed to help," he said.

Jokowi participated in singing Slank's song "Ku Tak Bisa" which was performed by students while reviewing the SMKN 3 Sukawati music studio.

At the vocational school, the President also gave a bicycle gift to students who could answer questions about Pancasila and the capital city of Nusantara (IKN).

The President reviewed SMKN 3 Sukawati accompanied by Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Special Staff to President Ari Dwipayana, Acting Governor of Bali Sang Made Mahendra Jaya, and Head of SMKN 3 Sukawati I Gusti Ngurah Made Umbara.
