Prabowo Waits For Mega To Take Time To Meet

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Gerindra Party as well as presidential candidate for the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Prabowo Subianto is waiting for the willingness of PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri to meet to discuss the 2024 presidential election. Moreover, the vice presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka is still a PDIP cadre.

"I am ready if given time, I will definitely want it," said Prabowo after undergoing a medical test at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital, Jakarta, Thursday, October 26.

However, the Minister of Defense admitted that until now there has been no confirmation from Megawati regarding the invitation to meet.

"God willing, I'm waiting," said Prabowo.

Megawati Is Busy

Previously, a politician from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Deddy Yevri Sitorus, stated that the general chairman of Megawati Soekarnoputri had not been able to fulfill Prabowo's request to meet. Because, said Deddy, Megawati was busy.

"(Megawati) is in a very high level of activity," said Deddy when contacted, Tuesday, October 24.

Deddy could not confirm whether Megawati would fulfill Prabowo's request. According to him, Megawati only knew about this.
