Xi Jinping Determined To Stabilize China-US Relations Ahead Of Meeting

JAKARTA - Chinese President Xi Jinping showed his enthusiasm for stabilizing deteriorating China-United States relations in a message to US non-profit organizations. Beijing is willing to work with Washington to overcome global differences and challenges, state media said.

Xi also said China-US relations were "important to world peace and the destiny of mankind", Xinhua news agency said, as the world's two biggest economic powers plan to hold a high-level meeting next month on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum in San Francisco.

Reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 25, the Chinese leader gave a congratulatory message sent to the annual dinner of the National Committee on US-China Relations which was held before Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's three-day visit to the US from Thursday.

Wang is scheduled to meet US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and other senior US officials during his visit, where he is expected to provide the basis for a summit between Xi and US President Joe Biden.

In the midst of increasing rivalry, bilateral relations between the two countries are filled with tension regarding economic and diplomatic issues in various fields.
