Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka asked for prayers so that all his affairs related to the 2024 Presidential Election run smoothly. "Pray for it, I hope everything goes well," he said in Solo, Central Java, Tuesday. Regarding the stages that must be followed in the context of the 2024 Presidential Election contestation, he plans to apply for permission not to carry out his duties as Mayor of Surakarta for the time being. "Just two days of permission," he said. However, until now the eldest son of President Joko Widodo is still actively carrying out his duties. "I did not go to the plenary session first," he said shortly before leaving for the Surakarta City DPRD Office. Meanwhile, when asked about the blessing that his parents had given him, Gibran was reluctant to respond. "Please pray for me," he said. Previously, the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party as well as the presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto announced the Mayor of Solo Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the eldest son of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo as a candidate for vice president (cawapres) from the Advanced Indonesia Coalition for the 2024 presidential election. Prabowo at his private residence, Jalan Kertanegara Number 4, Jakarta, Sunday (22/10) night, said, "Just recently the Forward Indonesia Coalition has held its final position and in a consensus, all agreed to carry Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate and brother of Gibran Rakabuming Raka as a vice presidential candidate from the Advanced Indonesia Coalition".

Prabowo explained that the decision by acclamation and all parties of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition members reached a consensus on the decision.
