Gerindra Reluctant To Polemic About Gibran Still A PDIP Cadre

JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party is reluctant to have a polemic regarding the status of Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who is still a PDIP cadre. It is known that Gibran has been decided by the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto and the general chairman of the Indonesian Forward Coalition political party as candidates for vice president who will accompany Prabowo in the 2024 Pikpres.

"I don't think I will polemic there," said Gerindra Party DPP Daily Chair Sufmi Dasco Ahmad as quoted by Antara.

Dasco only stated that Prabowo and the Forward Indonesia Coalition had unanimously decided Gibran Rakabuming Raka as candidates for vice president who accompanied Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election. Dasco stated that Gibran had known.

He explained that Gibran had known that he would become Prabowo's vice presidential candidate after the general chairman of the Jakarta Maju Coalition (KIM) meeting on Friday, October 13.

Furthermore, the Golkar Party Rapimnas proposed Gibran as a candidate for vice president who accompanied Prabowo Subianto on Saturday, October 22.

After the decision of the Gplkar Party Rapimnas, Gibran toured to meet the general chairman of the party from the Advanced Indonesia Coalition, such as the General Chairperson of the PAN DPP Zulkifli Hasan and the Chairman of the Democratic Party DPP Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY).

"Mas Gibran has been on safari (political) since yesterday to the general chairman-chairman of KIM's party so that from the results of the October 13 meeting and following up on the results of Mas Gibran's safari, an agreement was taken from KIM's presidential and vice-presidential candidates as previously announced," said Dasco.
