Jokowi Inaugurates RSIS A. Yani Building In Momentum 1 NU Century

JATIM - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the Surabaya Islamic Hospital (RSIS) A. Yani in Surabaya City, Sunday 22 October. This inauguration was in a series of commemorations of a century of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU).

"Alhamdulillah, today we inaugurate the Surabaya Islamic Hospital Tower A. Yani as a living monument, as an offering in commemoration of one NU century," he said in a broadcast by the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, confiscated by Antara.

He said the existence of the 13-story hospital building equipped with modern equipment marked the transformation of RSIS A. Yani into a more advanced and reliable hospital.

The President hopes that the addition of RSIS A. Yani facilities will be accompanied by improved service quality for the community.

"I would like to advise the Surabaya A. Yani Islamic Hospital to become a center for training and developing health and education services among Nahdlatul Ulama and producing skilled, superior, and professional health workers," he said.

The inauguration ceremony of the RSIS A. Yani building was attended by the Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Abdullah Azwar Anas, Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia, Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa, and Mayor of Surabaya Eri Cahyadi.
