Still Attacked By Criticism After 3 Weeks As Chairman Of PSI, Kaesang: Alhamdulillah, We Are Political In Santuy

CIREBON - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) has no problem with the criticism directed at him. He considered it to be the right of every Indonesian citizen.

However, he appealed to criticism to be delivered politely to create a cool atmosphere in the 2024 General Election. He conveyed this when he carried out a political safari at the Gedongan Islamic Boarding School, Cirebon Regency, West Java, Saturday, October 21.

Kaesang revealed that there were many attacks addressed to him after serving as chairman of PSI. However, he was reluctant to respond to the attack and chose to joke that the attack made him more famous.

"I am now the General Chair of the Indonesian Solidarity Party, only three weeks away. Maybe one month later, on October 23, I am still targeting, I am still being attacked here and there. Alhamdulillah, because if we are not attacked, maybe we are not famous," said Kaesang, as quoted from Antara, Saturday, October 21.

Kaesang then reminded the entire community to be free from tensions and not to blaspheme against each other if they have different choices.

"We are politics with joy with manners and satuy, because we must know that in the upcoming elections the narrative is a peaceful election. So, no one blasphemes each other," said Kaesang.

Kaesang revealed that he came to the Gedongan Islamic Boarding School in the context of a political safari and invited Islamic boarding school administrators and students to exercise their voting rights in the 2024 Simultaneous Elections.

"The important thing is for me, not to nominate the PSI; the important thing is to come to the TPS (voting station), take part in the 2024 General Election, and for sure don't forget to nominate the president too," said Kaesang.

In his political safari to the Cirebon Gedongan Islamic Boarding School, Kaesang also received the honor of holding the title of Honorary Santri by the management of the Gedongan Islamic Boarding School, Kiai Ahmad Marzuki.

In giving the title, Marzuki also pinned the skullcap and gave the sandals to Kaesang.

"The symbol of the skullcap, Mas Kaesang, who is currently the General Chair of PSI, is the position above and the symbol of the sandals, Mas Kaesang must also be ready in the lowest position," said Marzuki. Marzuki revealed that the status of the honorary students was given as a form of prayer to Kaesang and the young people at PSI to successfully carry out their duties to carry out the people's mandate.

"We cannot always follow Mas Kaesang's steps, the steps of our young friends; so we entrust the status of santri honor. Hopefully, it will be our prayer that always accompanies Mas Kaesang and his friends," said Marzuki.
