PAN Calls Prabowo And His Vice Presidential Candidate Will Be Gong The Closing Of Registration At The KPU

JAKARTA - Secretary General (Secretary General) of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Eddy Soeparno, said that the registration of the prospective presidential candidate (candidate) for the Indonesian Coalition Maju (KIM), Prabowo Subianto, will be the gong for the closing of registration for the 2024 presidential election participants at the KPU.

The KPU has opened registration for presidential and vice-presidential candidates from October 19 to October 25 next week. However, until now the name of the vice presidential candidate Prabowo has not announced it.

Eddy said that his party had no problem with his presidential candidate not registering at the KPU as the other two couples. He also likened Prabowo's registration to the gong played in the gamelan music show.

"The last one is in the gamelan, the last one is the gong, right, gong. Well, what is clear is that the last one who registered for Pak Prabowo will be the gong later," said Eddy to reporters, Friday, October 20.

The news circulating said that Prabowo's vice presidential candidate's name was narrowed to two names, namely SOE Minister Erick Thohir and Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Related to this, Eddy emphasized that his party will support whoever will be the vice presidential candidate who is appointed to accompany Prabowo according to PAN's initial commitment when joining KIM.

"Whoever will be decided to become a vice presidential candidate in the general chairman forum, all members of the coalition will obey and will be consistent in carrying out their decisions," said Eddy.
