THN ABW: A Thousand Advocates To Guard Anies-Muhaimin's Registration To The KPU

JAKARTA - Head of the Anies Baswedan National Law Team (THN ABW) Ari Yusuf Amir said more than a thousand advocates who are members of the volunteer node will participate in overseeing the registration procession of Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar as a candidate for the 2024 presidential election.

The advocates will compactly wear toga as a symbol of the profession. THN ABW, Ari continued, has formed in 30 provinces and 150 districts and cities with 5,000 members.

"THN ABW will work professionally for the sake of the establishment of election and democracy in Indonesia in producing the president and vice president of the choice of the people who are legitious," Ari said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 18.

In overseeing Anies-Muhaimin's legal interests, Ari said that his party is ready to synergize with election organizers and law enforcement officials, as well as to make the 2024 election honest and fair.

The presence of a legal team at the Anies-Muhaimin registration aims to invite all elements of the nation to oversee the democratic party in a dignified manner.

"We are here to ensure that all stages are carried out with the correct legal procedures and will not tolerate the slightest fraud, because what is at stake in the election is the interests of the nation and state for the next five years," added Ari.

He also invited all parties to maintain national commitment in realizing a just legal state, which is oriented towards fulfilling the interests of the people instead of the interests of power.

"As ABW (AniesBaswedan) always guided in his leadership and in the mirror of his daily life," he said.

The Change Coalition, which consists of the NasDem Party, the National Awakening Party (PKB), the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), is scheduled to register the Anies-Muhaimin pair as presidential and vice presidential candidates for the 2024 General Election at the KPU office, Jakarta, Thursday (19/10), at 08.00 WIB.
