Sudirman Said: Anies-Muhaimin's Registration To KPU Concepts For The People's Festival

Spokesperson for Anies Baswedan, Sudirman Said, said that the registration procession for the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair, Anies Baswedan-MuhaiminIskandar, to the KPU office in Jakarta, Thursday (19/10), carries the concept of a festival or people's party.

"Tomorrow (Thursday), the atmosphere is the atmosphere of the festival, the atmosphere of the people's party. So, there is ReogPonogo, there is tanjidor, there is the Chinese community that contributes lion dance, and several regional arts," said Sudirman Said at the Change Coalition House, Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 18.

In addition to the entertainment of the people's arts, Sudirman said that there would be a number of volunteers guarding the Anies-Muhaimin registration procession wearing traditional clothes from various regions.

A number of other preparations, continued Sudirman, have also been made, both from volunteers who come directly to Jakarta and throughout the country, by praying for the success and smooth running for Anies-Muhaimin.

The atmosphere of escorting the prospective presidential and vice presidential candidates will also feel very religious. Preparations have been made very seriously since Wednesday afternoon, in addition to administrative technical preparations.

"The atmosphere is very religious because we realize that taking care of power is a big mandate, a very important mandate; because what we do not only knock on the doors of society, but also knock on the sky with prayer," he said.

In addition to the Coalition for Change, the coalition of parties that will pair Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD is also scheduled to register as candidates for the 2024 presidential election at the KPU office, Jakarta, Thursday (19/10).

Responding to this, Secretary General of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Hasanuddin Wahid said Anies-Muhaimin volunteers would oversee the registration of the candidate pairs peacefully and not make a fuss with other camp supporters.

"But, we ask for permission when it is 08.00 am, the pair Anies and Muhaimin first register at the KPU," said Hasanuddin.

According to him, the administrators, cadres, and volunteers from the Change Coalition who attended directly escorted Anies-Muhaimin had received the principle of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.

"Tomorrow (Thursday), everyone must show that the face of kindness is the face of change, the face of togetherness is the face of change, and the face of brotherhood is the face of change," he said.
