AHY Reveals Prabowo's Meeting With SBY In Cikeas

Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono revealed that Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto met with the Chairman of the Upper House of the Democratic Party Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at SBY's residence, Cikeas, West Java.

"I was also there. I was in that room. What is clear is that the meeting was very good, a gathering between two figures," said AHY, who was met by reporters while attending the celebration of Prabowo Subianto's 72nd birthday on Jalan Kertanegara, Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 17.

AHY, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono's nickname, said that from the meeting, he again appreciated Prabowo's figure who always listened to opinions and put forward the collective aspect in the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM).

"So, even though we all provide a wide space because he is the presidential candidate who is the determinant of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition, it is also he who always says the spirit of this coalition is the collective leadership," he said.

Prabowo, said AHY, always listens to various views and inputs to achieve solidity among the supporting political parties. Prabowo's attitude is a valuable asset to win the 2024 General Election.

Regarding the candidate for vice president (cawapres), AHY emphasized that the Democratic Party had handed over everything to Prabowo. He hopes that Prabowo's vice presidential candidate will bring a bigger chance of victory.

AHY said he was confident and optimistic that KIM under Prabowo's leadership would be successful and gain victory, despite the fierce 2024 election competition.

"Each candidate has its own strength, has its own strength base, but we still have optimism that the Forward Indonesia Coalition under Pak Prabowo's leadership can be successful and achieve the winning targets in the election," he said.

AHY came to Prabowo's residence with his wife, Annisa Pohan, to attend the celebration of the 72nd anniversary of the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party. On behalf of the big family of the Democratic Party, AHY conveyed his best prayers and hopes for Prabowo.

"Hopefully he will live a long life, be healthy always, be given, strength, patience, success, and of course today what we are fighting for together: hopefully he will be elected president of Indonesia in 2024," saidAHY.
