Haven't Checked SYL Regarding The 12 Senpi Case, Bareskrim Has No LP, Wait For The KPK

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has not examined former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL regarding the case of ownership of 12 firearms (senpi). The reason is that the KPK has not made a police report (LP) regarding the findings.

"Until now there is no LP. Because the LP was obtained by the KPK, we are still waiting for the KPK," said Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro to reporters, Tuesday, October 17.

So far, dozens of senpi have only been entrusted by KPK investigators to Polda Metro Jaya. Then, the handling was delegated to Bareskrim Polri.

However, until now, the KPK has not made a police report (LP) regarding its findings.

Djuhandhani emphasized that his party was still investigating the findings of the KPK investigators. However, by submitting it to the Intelligence and Security Agency (Baintelkam) to check the ownership data.

"We are still carrying out investigations, in what way? We leave it to Baintelkam for further cross-checks on this weapon for what," said Djuhandhani.

Previously, the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Shandi Nugroho, stated that the 12 rifles found from the official residence of the former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL had not been fully identified. Baintelkam is still investigating the legality of the gun.

"So not all weapons can be identified clearly, therefore we want to confirm and wait for the results," said Shandi.

However, it did not specify how many weapons have been and have not been identified. Only conveyed, Baintelkam Polri will trace the legality based on the database.

"(Identification) Of the type of weapon, weapons number, whether registered in the Police Headquarters database or not," said Shandi.
