National Police Chief: 5 Provinces, 85 Regencies/Cities Are On The List Of Prone To The 2024 Election

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said there were 5 provinces and 85 regencies/cities that were categorized as vulnerable areas during the 2024 General Election. The mapping refers to data from the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu). The statement was made when giving directions at the Ceremony of Holding the Brata Operations Force 2023 at the Monas Cross Field, Jakarta. "Based on the vulnerability index of the Bawaslu election, there are 5 provinces and 85 regencies/cities have a high vulnerability category," said Sigit, Tuesday, October 17. Meanwhile, from the results of the Police mapping, there are two provinces and one Regency/City which are categorized as very vulnerable. However, no further details on the area in question. The former Kabareskrim only asked the members of the National Police who served in the area to take anticipatory steps. "For areas that are classified as high in vulnerability and very vulnerable, immediately anticipate. Meanwhile, for other regions, do not underestimate by continuing to prepare security as best they can," he said. Not to forget, Sigit also advised his staff to map the potential for social conflict in detail in their respective regions. If a problem occurs, solve it to the roots.

"If the conflict that is disrupting the stability of the security and social order, ensure that the use of the cargo is carried out appropriately according to the SOP by upholding the principles of proportionality, legality, accountability and recession," said Sigit.
