Genocide In Gaza, Spain Wants To Drag Israel To The International Court For War Crimes

ANKARA - Spain's acting minister of social rights, Ione Belarra, suggested that Israel be brought to the International Criminal Court (International Criminal Court / ICC) for "war crimes", local media reported.

Belarra shared a video containing accusations by the European Union and the United States "involved in war crimes committed by Israel," wrote the Spanish newspaper, El Mundo, last Sunday.

Quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 17, the minister urged various parties to denounce Israel at the ICC and regret the "planned genocide" in the current Gaza Strip.

Ten days after the conflict with the Palestinian Hamas group began to break out, Israel continued to launch bombings and blockade the Gaza Strip. More than one million people in Gaza -- nearly half of the total population -- are expelled from the region.

Gaza is experiencing a severe humanitarian crisis. There is no electricity in the region. Food, fuel, supplies of medicine have also started to run out.

Meanwhile, many civilians were forced to flee to southern Gaza after Israel issued a warning for areas in the northern part to be vacated from residents.

Fighting broke out when Hamas on October 7 launched the Al Aqsa Flood Operation, which was a sudden attack on all lines against Israel.

The Hamas attack was launched through a series of rocket fire and infiltration of its personnel into Israel by land, sea, and air.

Hamas stated that the operation was carried out in retaliation for the attack on the Al Aqsa Mosque and the increasing violence by the settlers.

Israel then launched the Iron Sword Operation against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.

The number of Palestinians killed in a series of Israeli attacks in Gaza increased to 2,750, including 750 children.

In Israel, 1,300 people have died.
