Counseling To Prevent Bullying, Police Invite Students In Magelang To Report

The Magelang City Resort Police (Polres) provides counseling on preventing bullying to students and students of SMP Negeri 2 Magelang City, Central Java (Central Java).

Magelang City Police Chief AKBP Yolanda Evalyn Sebayang explained, to hundreds of students of SMPN 2 Magelang about understanding, various things, prevention, and how to overcome bullying to legal consequences.

AKBP Yolanda invites students to report any bullying to teachers.

For children who have been bullied and never reported, according to him, the person concerned will have a mental burden on him.

"So, finish it, don't save it. Tell the friend who did it not to do it again. If it is very hurt, report it to the teacher," he said in Magelang, Central Java (Central Java), Thursday, October 12, confiscated by Antara.

The police chief said that children who are perpetrators of bullying can be processed to account for their actions through the juvenile justice system by taking the first steps to restore justice.

According to him, small acts of bullying will become large.

"Adik-adik must be able to think whether the actions committed can have an impact and lead to a crime. If it has an impact on the crime, how to live and your future," he said.

The police chief expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the students of SMPN 2 Magelang who have never dealt with the police.

"SMPN 2 Magelang students should not think that they are always bullied because in some ways they can enjoy it as a joke. We must be able to distinguish whether we are being bullied or joking," he said.

He conveyed the importance of preventing bullying and creating a safe and comfortable school environment for all students.

The head of SMPN 2 Magelang City Fatin Mahdalina said that his party had formed a team to prevent and control violence in educational units, involving the board of educators, committees, and of course involving the police, namely bhabinkamtibmas.

Fatin Mahdalina emphasized that the continuity of school security is the result of the cooperation of many parties, including children, teachers, parents, and related agencies, as well as the police.

He stated that SMPN 2 Magelang is committed to realizing trusted, optimistic, and patriotic school (TOP School), which means schools that produce trustworthy, confident, and highly nationalist students.
