KSAL Please Discourse On Dankormar Filled With Pati Three Stars Realized

JAKARTA - The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (KSAL) Admiral Muhammad Ali hopes that the proposal to place a high-ranking three-star officer (pati) as Commander of the Marine Corps (Dankormar) will soon be realized.

The discourse of placing three-star generals to fill the Dankormar position has been running since 2021 when the Indonesian Navy was led by TNI Admiral Yudo Margono and TNI led by TNI General Andika Perkasa.

"(The proposal) is still in process. We have contacted (meeting, ed.) with the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform, then with the Palace as well. Hopefully it will be accelerated. (That's) my hope," said Admiral Ali in response to ANTARA's question on the sidelines of his activities at the TNI AL Cilangkap Headquarters, Jakarta, Friday, October 6, confiscated by Antara.

Admiral Yudo Margono, while serving as KSAL, explained that the position of Dankormar deserves to be filled by high-ranking three-star officers because it adjusts the size of troops, defense equipment, and tasks carried out by Marine Corps Troops.

The Marine Corps Commander in his duties oversees three Marine troops, namely Marine 1 Troops in Jakarta, Marine Troops 2 in Surabaya, and Marine Troops 3 in Sorong.

The Commander of the Indonesian Navy's Marine Corps is still being held by Major General TNI (Mar) Nur Alamsyah. However, in accordance with the Decree of the Commander in Chief on October 2, 2023, Nur Alamsyah received a promotion to become the Commander of the Indonesian Navy's Doctrine, Education and Training Command (Dankodiklatal) replacing Lt. Gen. (Mar) Suhartono, who according to the decree became the Inspector General (Irjen) of the TNI. However, until now, the handover ceremony for positions and inauguration has not yet been held.
