Former KPK Chairman: High Cost Politic Picu Political Dynasty

SERANG - Former Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Taufiequrachman Ruki said the high cost politics triggered dynastic politics which is still one of therules applied to the political system in Indonesia.

"You imagine being a member of the council, having to spend IDR 5 billion and this has been recognized by a member of the Council," said the chairman of the Indonesian KPK for the period 20023-2007, in Serang, Banten, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 4.

According to him, many politicians use a high cost policy system to occupy parliamentary seats, even to nominate governors alone it costs more than Rp200 billion.

"So the governor is not enough Rp200 billion, then who wants to use the money, how to return it?" said the former member of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

According to Taufiequrachman, the high cost policy system that costs a lot of these costs will emerge an oligarchic political system or dynastic politics.

"From the duit system, it produces political oligarchs, political dynasties, all occupy political positions ranging from mothers, fathers, children, brothers," said the best graduate of the 1971 Police Academy.

To overcome this, he asked the heads of political parties to improve the law in Indonesia so that it could reduce political costs that were too high.

"It is the party leaders who have to improve, the president, the leadership of the council must improve the law so that political costs are reduced," he said.
