The reason is that the names of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD and the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa are included in the vice presidential exchange, a companion to Ganjar Pranowo. Namun Romy menegaskan, PPP masih terus mendorong nama Ketua Bappilu PPP Sandiaga Uno agar dipilih Ketum PDIP Megawati Soekarnoputri sebagai pasangan Ganjar di Pilpres 2024.
