Traders And Security Examined By Police Regarding The Great Fire Case At Leuwiliang Market, Bogor

The Bogor Police Criminal Investigation Unit examined three witnesses to determine the cause of the severe fire at Leuwiliang Market, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Wednesday, September 27 evening. Meanwhile, Bogor Police Chief AKBP Rio Wahyu Anggoro explained that his party involved the National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency for the Criminal Investigation Unit to investigate the cause of the severe fire at Leuwiliang Market. The public is advised not to enter the location of the fire at Leuwiliang Market before the Puslabfor team has finished conducting the inspection. Rio is worried that if someone other than the officers enters the fire location, it will obscure the investigation that will be carried out by the Puslabfor team. "We are worried that the goal will not be achieved properly. So that the case of resolving the fire can later collapse if we don't guard the burned location early," said Rio. He admitted that he had assigned the local police chief to install police lines around the fire site. The move, he said, was also to anticipate looting of items left over from the fire incident at Leuwiliang Market. "We only intend to help, we don't make it difficult, we just want to clarify what the fire factor was for, what time it happened," he said. The fire incident in hundreds of stalls of food, fruit and clothing traders at Leuwiliang Market was reported to have occurred from Wednesday at around 20.00 WIB to Thursday at 13.00 WIB. Based on data from the Department of Trade and Industry (Disdagin) of Bogor Regency, of the 590 kiosks in Leuwiliang Market, 550 kiosks were burned down. Then, from the loss of 641 stalls, 580 stalls of which were also burned.

Not only that, the fire incident which lasted more than 12 hours also scorched 450 stalls and 35 stalls of street vendors (PKL).
